The Wurlitzer 206 is an electric piano for students. This model is built into a console, a portable version was sold with a metal base. The 206 is a variant of the 200 model without tremolo. It was used in numerous schools and could be combined with the 207 model for teachers, which has up to 24 connections.

In the Wurlitzer electric piano mechanism, which is modelled on the piano, a hammer strikes a metal reed, the vibration of which is picked up by an electrostatic pickup.
